The holiday season was the perfect time to be with friends and family. Since most had long days off from work, it’s the only time of the year that families are gathered together.
I took advantage of the short days off as I knew that there won’t be any as soon as the election period begins on the 10th of January, 2010 relative to the conduct of the May 10, 2010 Automated Elections.
The first day of 2010 was spent on a 3-hour trip on the road as my family and I took off for the Island they call Paradise at the Island Garden City of Samal. I wasn’t too sure if roadside assistance was offered by the government as the two bus companies in General Santos City had a holiday break. Business transactions resumed on the 2nd day of January. The girlfriends of my two siblings went with us and some family friends. Our Baby- Ewoks- went with us too…

Baby Ewoks' first long trip
We took a barge going to Paradise Island. It was my first time to have a glimpse of the beautiful place. There were many people who spent their New Year at the island. We’ve sighted quite a handful of foreigners who seemed to be enjoying themselves to the various amenities offered by the Beach Club.

And yes! We can’t wait to have a plunge!

I’ve been to Samal Island too and it’s nice! kaya lang they have short beaches… if only it has a longer stretch it would be better! and the sand is really nice.

Yeah! You are right. Beaches have such short stretches. When there are too many people, it gets really crowded. But it ‘s fun and the place is just awesome!

i miss going to Paradise Island. i guess the last time i’ve been there was in April of 2000 right after graduating from College and months before taking the licensure exam for Pharmacists sa manila. love that place. hope to go there someday soon!!!
