Many of you might have wondered where have I got all the zest much more the time in doing all the blogging chores everyday of my life. I myself, do not know how I have managed to do so much in 24 hours. You see, I work for a living on a 8-5 basis. We do not have internet connection at work. I can only accomplish some of the online tasks when I get home for lunch and when I get home after 5PM. I stay up late until 11PM dropping cards to 900 blogs like a mad girl. I can’t go to bed without having to accomplish dropping 900 cards. It has been a habit that’s so hard to break.
Now, you might be wondering why I am telling you all these. It’s because I have been asking myself lately if it’s all worth it. I am sometimes feeling a little guilty for not being able to help around the house because I am always infront of the computer every chance I get. And all the chances are given to me. Nobody can interrupt me when I am infront of my PC.
As of this writing, I am having a bad flu. I haven’t been feeling too well since yesterday. But that didn’t prevented me from coming online. Seven days of the entire week, I wake up as early as 4AM just to make sure that I drop a few cards before going to work for 2 more blogs aside from my 3 personal blogs. That makes it more than a thousand cards dropped daily! And updating my blogs is a must for me because it has long been monetized. Doing paid reviews and filler posts has taken its toll on me. I don’t even know what quality articles mean. It’s because of the deadlines to beat that I seemed to be rushing things up. After writing the assigned tasks, hitting the “Publish” button abruptly always gives me a sigh of relief. Not only that, I feel like it’s a crime for me not to write anything new especially since I got myself an Entrecard account.
Come to think of it.
When we drop, we encourage Entrecarders to reciprocate our drops. And when they get to our site, what do we want? Just the number of drops we get or for them to keep coming back because of our blog’s content?
It’s hard to accomplish all these things because I am no superwoman. As much as I wanted to do everything in one day, that is not just possible. I haven’t been to the mall in ages. I want to enjoy the company of my friends more often. I want to spend more quality time with my family. I don’t want my vision to deteriorate more and more everyday.
Please don’t get me wrong. I am not complaining at all. How could I when I enjoy doing what I have been doing? Blogging is fun for a lot of reasons. You and I are very well aware of it. I need not make a run down of them.
I just wish there’s 48 hours in a day so that I could do more things aside from blogging.

Hello Lainy, I hope you feel better soon. I think blogging can be addicted. Just like you , I only do all the blogging and dropping EC at home when I get off from work. We do have internet at work, but I don’t to use it for my dropping EC. I believe the company where I work pays me to do a job for them
Sometimes I feel guilty for not having to spend more time reading my Bible and spending more time with my husband. But I make always make sure that I cook and clean before I sit infront of the computer

@ BETH:
Thanks for sharing, Beth. You’re right. Blogging can be very addicting. You are a very good worker. I wish all employees are like you, hehe!
Yeah, sometimes we tend to forego some of the things that’s most important.
As for me, the spiritual aspect is still first place in my heart. Everything is forgotten on Thurdays and Sundays because I attend church. I wake up at 3:30AM every Sundays to prepare myself for church. I do my church obligations on Sundays. That’s why I am signing off early for tonight because it’s Sunday tomorrow, hehe!
Till tomorrow.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE!

I’m sorry to hear you’re sick, Lainy. Hope you get better soon. Maybe resting for a day or two from dropping cards will improve your mood – don’t worry the world will not stop. lol! Just trying to make you laugh. Get well soon!

@ BK:
THanks for your concern. I am giving Entrecarders the benefit of the doubt. But there’s only a few who do “touch and go”. I have sacrificed a lot in dropping these much including my sleeping habits. I need to change my routine a bit.

@ PAULA:
Thanks Paula, Dearie. You’re absolutely right! I am taking things a little bit slow today. If I won’t reach my 300 limit for one blog, who cares? LOL!
[Reply]
I hear ya on the dropping. i have 5 blogs and i only drop for one of them. it’s just too much. as for the others, i just can’t care. i need to cut back on my computer time as well…been meaning to make a schedule and stick to it.
how long does it take you to drop 300, i don’t even try, but it takes me a few hours, maybe because i stop and comment on blogs. hehehe
take a break if you need to.

NATURAL:
You're right, it's too much, indeed. Thanks for that piece of advice.
It's the first time since I took dropping seriously that I wasn't able to drop 900 cards today;-).
It's taking me 2-3 hours to finish 300 cards. It's a grueling task because I don't do "drop & go". Like you, I take a pause on blogs with topics of my interest and comment.
[Reply]
Get well soon! I have been thinking on the same thing too: “did all these people come back simply to drop their card or for the contents?” But you are amazing; dropping over a thousand cards each day. I will be laughing if I can drop 600 a day. I guess it is achievable though since you and many others have done it already. Take care of your health.

Ellaine,
Yan din ang na-feel ko noon pa man. kaya ako ngayon eh lay low nang konti sa paid blogging dahil ubod ng stressful. Buti na lang mataas na rates ko ngayon so i don’t really have to work as hard before. Sana tumaas din ang rates mo very soon para di ka rin ganong pagod.
[Reply]
Blogging is an addiction, so much that there are many great and important things you will give up just to make time for it. If you sit down to analyze such things, you will finally conclude that blogging is very expensive.
I admire you passion and hard work. You make me thing very different about female blogger in your part of the world.
Cheers!

@ UNCLE CHE:
Thanks for lifting my spirit up, Uncle Che! I certainly need one today.
You know my Prince never really knew what blogging is coz he wanted me to take off work today and said I need to be a submissive Princess to her Prince, haha! The thing is he even said I need to stay home and do some blogging. He wasn’t aware that blogging is one of the reasons why my resistance is at it’s low.
[Reply]
Same here Laine. That’s the reason why I am not always online lately coz my priority now is to take a rest. I need to rest or my health and baby will be in trouble. Just remember what your priorities are and what makes you happy. Get well soon girl.

hope you feel better soon sis..

Sorry to hear about you being sick, Sis. What else can I say that hasn’t been said here. I just have to agree that blogging and dropping EC is fun, but can also be your worst enemy. An enemy that is soooo hard to beat. Everyday I spend most of my time infront of my laptop writing reviews, making personal posts and dropping EC. I haven’t been spending quality time with my family nor doing my daily quiet time with God. Yes, I go to church every Sunday, but that’s not all there is to it.
Anyway, I hope you are doing better now. Take care and God bless!

hahaha! that's so trueeee… used to be- I just go to my hubby's office when I'm bored and he's too bz with work(as always)…now that I have been occupied with blogging, it's him who comes in my office & we'll have some chitchat or have some yogurt moment before bed:)
[Reply]
I understand what you are going through. I also cannot find enough time in a day to write new post and drop Entrecards. I think dropping 900 blogs is crazy! I won’t be able to achieve that and I don’t think I want to.
There is more to life than blogging and dropping cards.
And if the reason we want to drop so many cards is to increase our page ranking in Google, then I think it’s the wrong way to do so. Many bloggers who are earning big bucks don’t join Entrecard and don’t do any dropping of cards. We need to learn their methods instead of relying solely on Entrecard.
I also learnt that some bloggers don’t write new post for more than a month, and they are still earning huge money and getting lots of traffic, so my conclusion is updating your blog has no effect on the traffic to your blog.
I don’t have the answers but I’m learning. I love to blog but I don’t want it to take over my life.
[Reply]
naku, ako rin, wish ko 48 hours hehe.
thanks for dropping by and your comment
cheers

hiyee, you dont know me (atleast not yet) but i hope you’re doing well.. dont worry, youre not alone.. not the only guilty one. i think that’s how al bloggers really are (me, included), the only thing different is that some others are lucky to have helpers at home so they need not mind the housework.. maybe, when we all get the hang of all these, we can make singit na all the things that we’ve been neglecting..
[Reply]
Blogging is addictive and its hard to get that balance. I wonder ho wits physically possible to even do wha tyou are doing so my hat is off to you – you are ding incredibly well fitting in 48hrs in 24hrs. Family is the most important things though and content is king. Your write inredibly well though so seems like you have that covered. Hope you strike the balance that keeps you happy. But never feel guilty for not dropping, dont even go down that path…
[Reply]
hope you get well soon and take time off every now and then. i have 6 blogs with entrecard but I only drop daily for 2 of them. its simply too much.. if I got spare time then I could drop 20 for my other blogs.
good luck and hope you keep blogging and enjoying it.. <3

@ TWINKS:
Yeah, it should be everything in moderation.I remember the Spice Girl Song: “Too much of something is bad enough… ” Blogging makes me happy because it’s the only hobby and past time I know. But sometimes, I disregard all other activities in favor of blogging, which I think is rather very unhealthy.
@ JEMI:
I agree with you, Sis. Going to church is not just a mere act and there’s more to it than simply getting yourself prepared for the service and letting people see you going there. Though we may have different beliefs and faith on the subject, the thing is we plave first GOD first place in our hearts. Now it’s between ourselves and our God because HE is the only one who knows what’s inside our hearts
@ SHAWIE:
Thanks for sharing, Sis! Dapat lang talaga na may sweet moments kayo together ni hubby
@ FOONGPC:
Very well said! I couldn’t agree with you more!
I admit I’m a mad girl having this kind of addiction but when I got sick, I lie lowed a bit and someone did the dropping for me, thanks to my brother, haha!
Contrary to what you’ve said, I am not after for high PR. This blog have been ranked by Google but I am not expecting it to stay for a bit longer. And I am not expecting to earn big bucks either. I do not dream to be like John Chow, hehe. Blogging is only my second priority next to my work and I have fun dropping cards to different blogs. I just wish there’s more time for me to be able to drop more and more cards to even more blogs in a day.
EntreCard did wonders for my blog. It gave a boost to my Alexa traffic and it did exposed my blog to different bloggers around the world with various ethnicities not to mention I have acquired quite a few beautiful friends whom I couldn’t have the privilege and honor of knowing if not for EntreCard.
Let me just emphasize here that I do the dropping of cards not for the sole purpose of earning money but because I do enjoy it. Updating my blog is something that I always try my best to accomplish, 2 posts at least in a week. It’s because I do not want my visitors to get diaappointed by coming here and there’s nothing they could see but all the same posts that’s been up and running for a month! It hasn’t happened for this blog as of yet. And again, it’s not all about money. But who doesn’t love added revenue? But for me, it comes only as a BONUS.
I agree with you though when you say there’s more to life than blogging. Indeed, you’re so right!
Thank you for your wonderful thoughts. I appreciate it BIG time.
@ LIZA & IVA:
Thanks beautiful ladies for sharing your thoughts. Yes Iva, others were lucky enough to have househelps. Samin wala eh, kaya naaawa ako sa NAnay ko, huhuhu!
I hope you could come back again in the future.
@ LILY’S LIFE:
Thanks Dear for the compliments. I don’t feel guilty for not dropping to a number of blogs. I can’t always reciprocate because there’s only 300 limit and I get more than 300 return drops everyday. Yeah, I need to work on making a balance on my priorities. Thanks for your thoughts. I hope to see more of you soon.
@ PINAYWIFE:
Thanks Sis! Yeah, I enjoy blogging but I am not yet feeling too well. I still have a fever but I am feeling a lot better than before. I just need to take everything slow.
@ ALL:
THANK YOU FOR YOUR THOUGHTS. I’D LIKE YOU ALL TO KNOW THAT THEY ARE VERY MUCH VALUED. THANKS FOR WISHING ME WELL AND PRAYING FOR MY GOOD HEALTH. MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL MORE AND MORE!

I hear you Lainy! If you find the secret to 48 hours a day, please let me know. There is so much to accomplish!

@ CIN:
Thanks for agreeing with me. I hope I will find a way to knowing the secret soon, I will let u know, promise! ;-0
[Reply]
How much extra time would you have if you concentrated on writing a couple extra posts rather than dropping 900 blogs? You have good content – you could have a lot more!
[Reply]
@ ERIC:
I will have more time, alright, but blogging is not just about writing and hitting the publish button. I go for the quality of the posts and not just mere quantity. Better to have one article that’s well-written and properly laid down than to have writtent a lot but of poor quality. Sometmnes we need to go out of our respective niches to socialize and meet other bloggers from different communities.
Dropping cards have enabled me to come across wonderful blogs and beautiful people. I am using all these to my own advantage.
[Reply]
I only started blogging within the past couple of weeks and already I’m beginning to feel the addiction. I can’t imagine how you could possibly do that many drops in a day! When it comes to writing, I’m making every attempt to post daily but I don’t want to get in the habit of posting just for the sake of it. At the moment, my writing is more for myself and in that way I can keep it honest. I don’t want to fall into the trap of “writing for an audience” because I think doing so affects your perspective.
[Reply]
Yeah, blogging can be very addictive. And I agree with you. Blogging for an audience and not for self-expressiion alone may defeat the sole purpose of blogging as a fun activity. You may well feel the pressure and may find the act tiring and draining. When you do blogging for passion, however tired you may be, you can always find the time to get online and blog whatever you think is worth blogging about.
