I have been happily bonded with my computer for years but it has been in constant ruckus with me for months now. I don’t intend to get a divorce just yet. I want to have a quick and thorough fix before I resort to something drastic and finally demand a divorce
You see, I used to only do my stuffs in an internet cafe when I still haven’t saw the need of owning my own desktop. In the cafes, I have signed up at social networking sites like Friendster, Myspace, etc. That was the era before Facebook was born. That was mostly to go with the hype and to keep in touch with friends from yesteryears. I have also learned to build my own free webpage at Geocities courtesy of my cousin. I remember I used to save all my files in a disc and send everything to him. The next time I would check my page, everything is in proper order. Too bad Geocities closed down. Even then, I was a blogger-wannabe, hahaha!
When I saw the need of having my own PC, my online presence was felt but I must say it wasn’t something productive at the time. I don’t linger much. When I became a blogger some years back, that’s mainly to blog for self expression. But when the blogs I maintained generated some monetary revenue for doing online tasks and opportunities, that’s when I got so hooked up with blogging. So you can’t blame me if I’d stick around for a while longer.
Luckily, I got a better connection now after trying out two ISPs. The main problem lies solely now on my PC which is giving me so much of a hard time. It’s certainly a let down when I’d want to do multitasking but just too impossible coz the PC keeps acting up! It’s pretty disappointing!
Now tell me, with the reasons stipulated above, don’t you think it’s high time for me to get a divorce now? Why not? Aside from the constant let downs, I do deserve to get a good one for myself too, aint right? I just think I owe it to myself.
Hear yeah! Hear yeah! The Oracle of Bloggers spoke once more! Let me show you the proof:
What’s wrong with you again, Dumb Looney? Why are you so affected that I am keeping my blogroll? Is it because you’re not one of The Blogstars at Lainy’s Musings? LOL!
What a sick man you really are, Dumb Looney! Now I am convinced you’re my NO. 1 STALKER! Oh man! How quick you copy and paste what’s in here at Lainy’s Musings and immediately write an article out of it. And you call that “article” huh? Copying and pasting my work and linking up to other articles you’ve found at Google? Gosh! Whatta devious trick!
Windy was right when he dubbed you as the One Minute Blogger. Your pretentious acts that you’re some blog guru may appear to be convincing to some but not to me and to a whole lot of us who detests your presence. So pathetic!
TO EACH HIS OWN
Have you been taught what ethics, respect, and prudence means? There’s no need for you to go to school to learn that besides you’re too old to be even taught the basics.
Let me set things straight here, Dumb Looney. I have never talked about traffic when I wrote about The Blogstars at Lainy’s Musings. When I updated my blogroll, it’s my way of keeping and preserving the blogs I heart whenever I do finally decide to leave the realms of EC or other traffic-driving sites for that matter. My blogroll has nothing to do with traffic whatsoever as you would like to emphasize in your malicious snippet. I talked about human attachment and bonding instead. So why lecture about traffic, link juice, Google Analytics, etc? If you don’t wanna have a blogroll, it’s your right and your own prerogative. No one’s ever coercing you to have one. I am no longer surprised when you directly attacked me for the nth time. Being the self-obsessed blog- guru that you are, I am getting used of your rotten style. But hold it there for a moment! I am a bit confused you don’t link up my blog now when you copy and paste what’s written here. Are you playing safe? Or just a total coward???
Come to think of it. Is that ALL the reasons you have for not keeping the blogroll? Or is it because there’s no one to keep in your blogroll coz no one ever likes you??? Have you ever thought about that?
And oh! Don’t be so foolish to take down AGAIN the derogatory post against me like you did many times before. Enough of your pathetic lies and antics.
Here is Windy’s very brilliant description of your behavior, Dumb Looney:
His recalcitrant behavior has gone past the point where he can be given any consideration that he is being sincere about what he does on the internet.
I have been watching him on the sidelines for more than a year while he strutted obnoxiously and with total disregard towards his victims. He bashes particularly Asian female Bloggers.
Why even when I asked him to come forward and come clean to debate it with me, one on one at an online public venue of his choice, he kept silent. He had his chance to prove by that means that he is above fault and has been misunderstood.
He leaves so much to be desired, not only speaking for myself, but also by scores of other Bloggers who have borne the brunt of his devious antics and horseshit articles. Articles that he clearly misrepresented the truth because all he was seeking was attention by rousing discord and guess what, it all came right back at him.
I do not in anyway feel sorry for this guy. He did what he did in a very purposeful and derogatory manner towards Bloggers and he earns the hatred.
Let me ask you a very simple question about this guy. Has he ever gone to each of his victims and apologized? That should be suffice to say what a rotten person he is.
I am sticking to what I’ve once said. You’re not wanted here, Dumb Looney! LEAVE ME ALONE!
I have long wanted to update my blogroll but a lot of things have as usual kept me preoccupied offline and online. Not to mention that procrastination took its toll on me as it always does, LOL!
It’s never easy for me to give all my blogs the embellishment that it needs. I have relied heavily on Windy for that. I have never tried giving it a tweak on my own. Since I migrated to WordPress, courtesy once more of Windy, there are only a few things which I braved to do. I am so scared to mess up everything that Windy had worked his as* off.
You see, I only do blogging on the side. I work offline on a 8-5 basis. I am aware though that the blogroll is my sole responsibility. I always give high regard with the connections I’ve made online. I strongly value the rapport, camaraderie and bonding that I have built with blogpals over the years.
With that said, I feel proud to announce that I have accomplished the blogroll clean-up. YEEHAH! Would you believe it? It took me 3 straight nights to complete the job! I even missed doing my EC dropping chores to make way for the task.
I was stupefied to find out however that my blogroll has really been outdated. For three (3) years I never did have an attempt to touch it nor have it updated. My hands were quite full to do that. After the blogoversary celebration, I told and promised my own self to accomplish the job.
I didn’t ask for link exchanges with the people who are currently linked up in my list. I did the link -up on my own volition. There’s no need for you to “bribe” me for a link exchange because if I keep frequenting your blogs and drop off comments, it sure will be there in my blogroll
If you don’t see your name in the list and you feel you should be there, do give me a heads up. I will be more than willing to add you up.
My blogroll consists of two groups. Blogstars I are those who only own one blog. Blogstars II are those with multiple blogs.
The above list will be automatically added up across my five (5) blogs. It will only be a bonus for me if you do add me up in your own blogroll. NO CONDITIONS ATTACHED
The David Lucas saga has taken quite a bit of space here at Lainy’s Musings for the past week. Windy and I and the rest of those who have never feared in speaking up their minds on the matter like Marzie,Lady Java, Bill, David Funk, Twerlyn, CAT, Chuchie, and Rose strongly believes that he should be confronted and told clearly that what he is doing towards fellow Bloggers is totally unacceptable at Blogosphere. I salute you guys for standing up for the truth and for having the balls to SPEAK OUT. Your comments speaks your support at this time where I needed it the most.
I hope you do understand that I don’t overreact on issues when I don’t feel violated at all. I am doing my own thing and yet he never stops whining about issues which doesn’t concern him nor his blog. The main issue is that IF YOU DON’T LIKE WHAT YOU’RE SEEING AT MY BLOG (the number of views, the Read More feature, etc- which are all supported by WP Plug-ins, FYI), I WOULD BE VERY HAPPY TO SEE YOU BACK OFF AND NEVER COME BACK. I am getting tired of your style. Please police your own blog and stop talking as if you’re some blog guru.
Those who were never dragged at his blog JUST YET were lucky they never have to be in my shoe. I just hope it won’t happen to anyone again. His insults, rudeness and harassments gotta stop once and for all. If I or Windy did not talk about this, WHO else will?
I have to thank Windy big time for standing up for me. He has helped me immensely in pulling through this ugly episode. As he is popularly known, Windy is a person who speaks without fear or favor. He can be the sweetest friend but the worst enemy when provoked. He would even bet his life for a friend. The space here won’t suffice for all the great things Windy has done for me and others. No amount of words can be enough to express how grateful I am.
To you, David Lucas, enough is enough! Please leave me be. Is it too much to ask from you?
I’d like to borrow what an American blogpal has described you as:
Unfortunately where there are good people, there will be those that try to bring others down out of spite, jealousy, or just for attention(funny that DL fits all those).
Prove us all wrong and be man enough, David Lucas. Take on WINDY on a one-on-one public debate and NOT women like me, Marzie, LJ, etc. Do you have the balls to do that?
I have been forewarned by Windy to ignore the Dumb Looney. We do not want to spoil the 3rd blogoversary celebration add to the fact that I was very preoccupied offline. So I heeded Windy’s counsel, shrugged my shoulders off and kept my mouth shut.
But this time, I am breaking my silence. The Dumb Looney’s attacks on Lainy’s Musings was brought to my attention because a WordPress plug-in was installed at this blog which makes it possible to monitor all incoming links. I got curious what he was up to so I clicked on the link and read on. I was dumbfounded!
You see, I got acquainted with Dumb Looney since last year. I used to drop cards at his blog and he returns the favor. In fact, I have made an article in his honor entitled The Bare Necessities of Blogs.
But now, it is an entirely different story.
I noticed Dumb Looney loves to write scathing articles about women bloggers, Asian women to be specific. It seems like he got such profound admiration for us women for making us his favorite subject: yours truly, LJ and Marzie just to name a few. He also made a post about my friend Twerlyn, and published a photo of her which he got from a social networking site, and that was WITHOUT permission. He even looked down on the visitors of this blog saying… “if you look at the Lainyblog, you can see it is not the least bit likely to appeal to the kind of readership Alexa would have you think! (You can’t always trust Alexa!)”
Let me tell you Dumb Looney, that I owe my blog’s traffic to these bloggers who visit my site. And mind you! They come from legitimate pages. They keep my blog alive and breathing. Whether they are low-income earners or not, I don’t give a damn! I have always believed that THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE RULES THE WORLD. Long live Mommy Bloggers! You can never demean my audience in that manner, Dumb Looney.
Windy in the previous article was able to brilliantly emphasize how big Dumb Looney’s mouth is for talking crap. I thank Windy for that comprehensive research to prove Dumb Looney wrong thus being the recipient of the Brain in Your Bum Award.
Now Dumb Looney, yes YOU, DAVE LUCAS, since all your craps are now exposed, I ask you to back off and leave me alone. I don’t need your presence here in my blog.

Curtsey and Curtain Call
God Willing, till we meet again, a year hence for another Blogoversary, Happy Blogging to All!
Before the Winners of Lainy’s Musings 3rd Blogoversary – The Gravatar Contest is announced, may I take this opportunity first, to thank each and everyone, who helped make this event another memorable milestone and for the third consecutive time.
To the V.I.P Sponsors who generously made the Contest appetizing with all their sponsored items, either in Cash or in Kind.
To the Contestants who by their participation, made the intent and purpose of the Contest what it was meant to be.
To all the Readers and Commentators who added their shine and fun to the Contest.
It is not without the magnanimous sponsorships that the attractive stake of Prizes would have been possible to celebrate Lainy’s Musings 3rd. Blogoversary – The Gravatar Contest. Once again, here is the list of the VIP Sponsors and the Prizes for the occasion.
Pursuant to the intended results of winners, names of the qualified contestants and non-winning contestants (three of the qualified contestants who didn’t make it, plus the five contestants for the consolation prize) were drawn in two separate draws at random.org. It is worth noting that it is random.org’s paid feature that was chosen “Third-Party Draw Service“.
After the 5 Grand Winners were drawn, the Non- Winning Contestants were added to the Contestants for the Consolation Prize and another draw was made at random.org to determine one lucky winner for the USD 5.00, to wit:
To conduct a fair and credible process in determining the prize results, I decided to rein the services from a neutral person to handle the draws. Uncle Che is the best choice. He is neither the contestant nor a sponsor (and obviously not the host ). Free randomization at random.org requires the presentation of results as screenshots, and since that could easily be “doctored”, their free service is NOT the best of choices.
To overcome and allay any possible suspicion on the methodology, Uncle Che instead, used the paid premium feature at random.org. It is called the “Third-Party Draw Service. It permits random.org to monitor the randomization and host the results for public access.
As you can see, great diligence was paid to the matter of the results. Hence, it is my hope that there will not ensue any bickering about WHY I DIDN’T WIN! Hahahahaha!
You can have a look at the results online at random.org following the links below:
Randomization of Qualified Contestants: Click [ H E R E ] for the results
Randomization of Non-winning Contestants: Click [ H E R E ] for the results
NOTE:
Time when the two Draws were conducted at random.org is reported as UTC. For GMT, you add (+8) hours. Therefore, what it means is that the 1st. Draw was conducted at 11:39:04 pm and the 2nd. Draw was at 11:55:02 pm. Thank You.

To these 5 non-qualified Contestants, please don’t lose heart. I am grateful to you for your time and effort and the gist of The Gravatar Contest is the fun in participation and not solely on winning. Hence, you too will be sharing in the 9,000 EntreCard Credits.
