2nd Blogoversary Celebration Part I – It’s Today!

I WELCOME and I THANK YOU for being here with me for Lainy’s Musings’ Blogoversary Day.

Owing to the length, my delivery is in two parts. Article. Part II follows immediately after this. :)

PART I


What’s the fanfare for Lainy’s Musings’ Blogoversary?

I had earlier mulled on a few worthy options how I would like to mark another year of blogging. Then it suddenly struck me that I already had a grand one right here for the occasion. Before I get to that let me display the Archive.

From April 26th 2009 till April 25th 2010

Lainy’s Musings’ Archive showcases all the Articles that were published.
Between 4/27/2009 and 4/26/2010, there were are total of:

Amongst the Articles, there’s one that I consider a diamond. An article that sparkles brighter than the rest. I shall discuss about that diamond right after this.

Reminiscing some Ups and Downs

Regardless how a Blog is defined, within the Archive, where relevant there are events which reflect my ups and downs. Here are some of them:

  • To begin with last year’s 1st. Blogoversary was celebrated Blogoversary Writing Contest was not without a nasty incident when a Contestant almost ruined the Contest. Fortunately, the Contest was had some great submissions from the Contestants and it was sufficiently “protected” by my trusted friends, Uncle Che, Windy and an Indian I.T. professional.
  • It was a rather bumpy blogging year for me. I became very ill and I was hospitalized twice for reasons of Asthma and High Blood Pressure.
  • At the Yaman Gensan Contest that I participated in, Windy protested directly with the Organizer and most vehemently I might add. He lambasted him for dishonestly changing the Contest cut-off date without due notice to the Contestants because it adversely affected the results for the Winners.
  • This is a memorable high when my Boss started to blog at Bottom Lines. It caused quite an excitement at the Office as he went through the learning curve.
  • My life became unmanageable as I grappled with an increasing work load at the Office, my health deterioration and the time needed for blogging. It had a severe impact when I had to abort my Oktoberfest Birthday Celebration. It also forced me to stop blogging for a period and seek Uncle Che to help to maintain Lainy’s Musings till my health improved.
  • Having missed Windy’s presence in Blogosphere was gnawing at my appetite to blog. He left blogging suddenly and totally erased his database. I missed the fun times he shared with me at blogging.
  • Later at another Air Supply Contest organized by the same Blogger, I made it good but Ate Vi and I believed that our Boss deserved to win with his contest entry Every woman in the World. Unfortunately though, the top spot was awarded to another participant. During the awarding ceremony, they were all shocked to know that the declared winner for the 2nd top spot was the Boss. Would the result change had they known beforehand it was the Boss? Just a thought.
  • A ray of sunshine lifted my blogging spirits when I was acclaimed the Winner at WBE Blog of Fame.
  • Over the last quarter, my blogging was raised up to a livelier mood. My health has vastly improved through proper dieting and regular physical exercise.
  • Then along came an impish new Commentator by the name of Brain Stormer. I have had a surprise chat with Brain Stormer and published one here.

A Diamond is Forever

Now, to return to the diamond article that I mentioned earlier, it is none other than:

A HOUSE THAT NEEDS CARING HEARTS

The reasons why I consider it a diamond article?

In a way, at least for me, it marked the return of Windy to Blogosphere. I encouraged Windy to write about his latest project and have it published at Lainy’s Musings. It was my way to entice Windy to return and grace Blogosphere once again

I also know that there are bloggers who are familiar with Windy, know about his blogging acumen and these have expressed a hope that Windy would return to blogging.

This Article, relates about an endeavor that reflects a noble human spirit; thinking more of others than of self. It is an endearing quality that is rare in our times.

Lainy’s Musings’ 2nd. Blogoversary celebrates Project Heavenly Home

It is for those reasons, you have been invited to celebrate with me to honor both Windy for his indefatigable humanitarian pursuit and especially to salute the Donors who rendered assistance to Windy when it mattered.

    200+ posts in my second year is not that much, Sis. There are actually a total of 510 posts since 2008. I could have written more than that had I been a full-time blogger.

    If that girl from the ZOO did not respect ME prior to my blogoversary, she better pay respect even just today because it’s my blog’s birthday, LOL!
