Is Blogging Bugging?

Blogging Pictures, Images and Photos

I first started my blog merely to exercise my passion for writing. It took a different course after paid reviews was introduced to me. My friend, Twerlyn encouraged me to blog and benefit from being  paid for it at the same time. That made a lot more sense and since then it motivated for me to blog consistently. It also explains why I have added three more blogs.

As I continue to blog, learn and earn from it, I also realized blogging comes with a responsibility. We don’t write in a vacuum, or that’s how I have appreciated it to be.  We are here NOT only to share and learn but also affect the lives of other people who read at Blogs.

More often than not, blogs reflect a blogger’s mind and intent. This is especially true when the Blog is of a personal category. What we write does reflect the person that we are. We will all be held liable for what we write.

Therefore, it would be wrong to assume that another person should come to comment in our defence or speak on our behalf. The responsibility belongs to the owner of the Blog and for what the Blogger publishes.

Though there is freedom of expression, it can never be mistaken for a freedom that is without responsibility. That would be anarchy if a Blogger were to publish articles and not have a responsibile attitude for his compositions. Let us not forget that our blogs will outlive our very own existence and that there are children who also access the Internet and read at Blogs, too.

For example, we do know of Bloggers who have created panic in communities by publishing slander, misguided information and unsupported gossip articles. This is just a small part of my appreciation of what CONTENT means and can do through a powerful media such as Blogs.

Hence, if this POWER is harnessed it will have great benefits for mankind; the opposite RECKLESSNESS would neither benefit the perpetrator nor the gullible Blog reader.

Thank you Pictures, Images and Photos

that on behalf on behalf thing i think is not appropriate in the blogging world. i know of several bloggers who got mad at each other and who have created wars and their blogs served as their venue in voicing out their ill feelings toward each other. it totally was a bad example. and like you sis, i do believe we are indeed responsible for every content that’s being published in our blogs. (I hope i am making good contents, be it a paid or unpaid post) Ekk… unsaon nalang! LOL

Lainy, this is so well said coming from someone that knows how to handle herself. You really are so objective and intelligent by talking about this.

Personally, if I ever have a problem with anyone, I will handle it privately instead of feeling the need to call someone out on my own blog. That does nothing but accumulate enemies because some will take it as someone starting trouble. There’s no sense in those types calling each other and dragging their issues out in public.

Unfortunately, everyone intellectually owns their own blog as far as what is said and done with them. I’m not about to police anyone, but I stay away from those that do nothing but spew venom with their blog.

I completely agree that everyone is responsible for their own blog. They are also to hold themselves accountable for their own actions, and not blame others for their lack of bad judgment should they do so.

What I’ve seen really become a problem before is the lack of respect and courtesy shown when those causing trouble leave messages on a blog someone else owns. This isn’t communism. People choose to go to any blog they want. They choose to comment. They also can choose to walk away instead of feeling the need to attack. Disagreements are part of life, but that doesn’t mean belittling someone because another has a different opinion. I don’t expect everyone to agree with everything I say nor should anyone else.

I really like what you said about what we write is a reflection of what we are. I couldn’t agree more.

Another well-written and thought out entry my dear friend!

    Hello my lainy!
You got me all intrigued. Kinsa ba na? ahhahahahah! But, I have to agree with you. Our blogs are personal reflection of who and what we are. We are responsible for what we write, most especially, if this is done for public reading. Friendship has its limits too as we are with individual brains and must speak for ourselves although we can’t please everyone. A verbal assault as comments or posts on blogs are definitely not acceptable. I find this quite immature. Can’t they settle it in a more private talk. Hmnnn?

  5. Hi I just stopped by to drop on your Entrecard and wanted to let you know that you have been added to Blog Angel’s All Above the Crease Drop List . I created the list because I was sick of wasting time trying to find people’s Ecards. You and everyone on the list has their Entrecards in an easy to find location. Stop by and check it out.

    Lainy belle,

Now, that is deep. I mean deep.

A lot of bloggers are mentally too shallow and will not understand half of your brilliant article.

    Blogging has become increasingly trash-y.

  7. juliana says:

I have to agree with Windmill. He nailed it right on the head.

BTW, did you get the email I sent yesterday?

  8. Twinks says:

    Sis,
Nosebleed. Brain damage. So deep is your post. char! :o :D
    Seriously.
We as bloggers are responsible to the things we write and publish in our own blogs may it be paid post or not. Our blog is a reflection of who we are online or probably offline. As the owner of our own blog we have full control over it. Blogging is a big responsibility pala, I just realized that now. I know we can’t please all, but we can respect all di ba? So I guess, if there are private matters that is not meant for public reading, the concern individuals should just keep it to themselves na lang.

    Funny side naman.

  10. @ RECEL:

I can’t agree with you more, Sis!

I know of some bloggers who did not exercise PRUDENCE at their blogs. And some of their friends came to theer defense and started explaining things on their behalf. It was truly disappointing.

Well, friends are friends and it’s never wrong to defend a friend but you can never barter ETIQUETTE, MANNERS and the TRUTH for FRIENDSHIP.

But of course, Sis! CONTENT is something that endeared you to a lot of your readers (that certainly includes me! :-) ). It’s because you are very articulate and speaks your mind very well. Not too many bloggers can do that. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

  11. @ DAVID FUNK:

I am taking all that as compliments, David and I am blushing, can’t you see it from there? ;-)
Thanks for sharing. We are on the same wavelength on this issue. Our blogs is like an extension of ourselves. So what people read at blogs reflect on what kind of person we are…

  12. @ ROSILIE:

Huh!? Nakakaintriga ba ang post na eto? It wasn’t my intention. I wasn’t referring to one particular person, Rose. I am not casting a stone at anyone pero bato-bato sa langit, ang tatamaan, wag magagalit. :-)
This is a post addressed to ALL bloggers.

  13. Sis,

Recel have asked me the same question but there’s nothing here in my mailbox. I will give you my email addy at your blog, Sis…

  14. I can’t agree more with you, Windy! :-) :-) :-)

  15. Thanks for the drops. I hope I am keeping up.
