I’ve just learned that my brilliant blogpal Windy who blogs from 
Windmill on the Hill is saying goodbye to blogging. I feel really sad and yes, I must admit, I am upset. He was the one who convinced me to stay when I bid Adios in July and here he is, telling the world that he is quitting. He even named me the Featured Blog and Blogger for the month of October and he himself authored Lainy’s Oktoberfest Treasure Hunt in celebration of my upcoming birthday.
His sudden decision to quit blogging caught me by surprise. It made me think hard and came up with the decision of taking blogging on the backseat. There’s more to life than blogging. There will no more be Lainy’s Oktoberfest as I prefer to celebrate my birthday in silence. Windy, who authored the event is leaving, so what’s the use anyway?
Lainy’s Musings will no longer be around from this time onwards. I thank you all for the blogging memories.

Lainy…no,no,please,please no honey!! Windy is so much older than us, especially you. I know he feels terrible already and this will just crush him.
It will crush me also. I am going to pray you change your mind. I have said goodbye before too and then came back.

Dear Lainy, Please think very carefully before you discard your beautiful blogs. Think how many hours you have spent to get them where they are today. I know that you are a little confused and upset because Windy has chosen to finish adding to his blog – perhaps you should have a chat with him before making a final decision. He would be most disappointed and heavy hearted if he thought that his actions were influencing your decisions.
Don’t rush into anything – you are a very special person and you are valued highly – remember that. Sleep on your decision and perhaps take a week or so off – then see how you feel, dear friend.

I agree with everybody here my dear friend. Please reconsider leaving. You dont have to blog everyday because i dont do that anymore. i agree with you that there is more out there than just blogging but also it is nice to think about all the great friends we cant meet here and maybe never meet in person. I think you are a great lady and a special friend and hope you will think about it for a bit. God bless.

I fully agree with everyone else, but I have to say Polly and Bill hit the nail right on the head of what I was going to say. Trust me, I know all too well about life outside blogging because like Bill, I don’t blog everyday anymore either. Life happens.
That said, you do have to do what is best for you which isn’t anybody’s decision but your own. However, I do hope in the end that it is a decision not influenced by anyone and that it is of your own choosing.
Ever since I’ve met you, I’ve always spoke very highly of you as a friend because of your commitment as well as all the great things you have done in the blogging community. You are indeed a special lady and friend which is also evident in the previous comments here, too.
Best of luck and just know you’re always a friend to me regardless of what happens from here on.
