BLOGGING FOR SELF-EXPRESSION
Abandoning my blogs was something I haven’t imagined. For two years, I have been very passionate about blogging, It has been a daily habit that is just so hard to break. It has become an addiction that rehabilitation is absolutely not possible
Despite my tight and toxic schedule at work, I make it a point to update my blogs, drop cards, and interact with co-bloggers by commenting. It is an apparent fact that I don’t blog for my audience. I am here to express and certainly NOT to impress.
2-MONTH BLOGGING HIATUS
Owing to the circumstances surrounding my health and my work, I was forced to take blogging on the backseat for two months. At first, I found it very difficult not to sit in front of my PC. I must admit there was a time that I have been a stalker; quietly going through my favorite blogs. But I have gradually learned to adjust and slowly walked away from the habit that I so loved doing.
But lo and behold!
My blogging hiatus was NOT without reason at all. It was a period of learning for me. I have been more purposeful about improving my health condition. Indeed, my battle with hypertension was a real challenge. Procrastination has long been forgotten. Thanks to Windy who insisted that I really take serious measures to keep my health back on track.
TRUE FRIENDS IN ACTION!
In my absence, my friend Uncle Che from Cameroon masterfully took over the reigns of
Lainy’s Musings while my cousin Allena of In the Eyes of the Beholder took control of my two other blogs,
Our Journey to Forever and
Kuerdas. I thank you both for a job well done!
I AM BACK!
I expressed my intention to return to my blogs via the post
I FEEL BRAND NEW. My comeback was overwhelmingly welcomed by blogpals who have always wished me well.
THE WBE BLOG OF FAME NOMINATION

With my comeback, the nomination by David Funk of Basic Bloganomics for the WBE Blog of Fame absolutely caught me by surprise. I was elated, honored and privileged to be in the list alongside with the roster of nominees who are truly equipped with unique blogging skills. My co-nominees epitomize the character of dedicated and passionate bloggers which made the blogging community a fun and better place to stay.
Voting is currently taking place at the
WBE Blog of Fame until January 17, 2010. The Poll does not limit you to vote for only one nominee. You can vote ONLY ONCE for a maximum of 10 nominees.
Let me just emphasize that this is NOT a contest. Events of this kind adds up spice to our blogging community.

Saturday Saved- The Best for Last # 9
When I was a newbie blogger in 2007, receiving awards and being tagged always make my day. Admittedly, I have gained quite a handful of friends from doing memes, receiving and passing on awards. These awards still proliferate in the blogosphere and which gives warmth to the hearts of many bloggers.
I still have to post some long over due awards from friends who never forgotten to include me in their long list of friends. Pardon me for my indolence and procrastination. Rest assured that I appreciate the gesture and I will have to grab them all as long as my time permits.
For now, I will have to flaunt this wonderful
Double Diamond Blogger Award from my creative, talented and intelligent blogpal Windy of
Windmill on the Hill. The award entails invincibility. And what made this award more beautiful and meaningful is that it is NON-TRANSFERRABLE!

I was suffering from a splitting headache when I got home from work Friday night. I didn’t linger in front of my PC and just went to bed. I had no plans of drifting off to sleep that long but I did! I woke up at 12 midnight and immediately head over to read the post Windy had instructed me to read as I was told he has something in store for me.
If I may just quote:
She is a remarkable woman and Blogger. Despite her intermittent health problems she has continuously pursued with her passion for blogging – and it’s not one but three active Blogs simultaneously. I don’t have the stamina to accomplish that. (I actually have 4 blogs).
It is amazing how much is achievable even though there is the obvious physical distance between Bloggers from around the World. Different beliefs and cultural backgrounds that would tend to make understanding and relationship a tad difficult.
Lainy who has a robust traffic at her Blogs keeps rising to the occasion every single time and she has excelled at her Blogs. I’ve learned a few additional Blog related issues from Lainy. I am grateful to her for being generous and patient with a cranky old man who is getting slower and slower at doing things. Ha ha ha.
I was totally floored! I can’t even find the words to say anything! It’s not everyday that someone as intelligent as Windy could have described me the way he did in his post. I could hardly believe it when someone like Windy could actually learn things from an ordinary person like me- even if it’s just a few things, LOL! That is one huge compliment!
Thank you for this lovely award, Windy! What a disticnt privilege and honor being one of the recipients. I am truly humbled!
Thank you for everything!

Rendezvous at Grab A Crab Restaurant and Coffee Club 101
Posted by: | Comments
Last Sunday, my family and I went out for dinner at one of the finest restaurants here in the city. We took avail of the gift certificate sponsored by Grab A Crab Restaurant and Coffee Club 101. The gift cert was awarded to me as one of the prizes for winning second place in the Yaman Gensan 2009 SEO Bloggers Contest over at Bariles Republic.
The family was a little hesitant to dine out because of the heavy rain but since we were hungry, we all decided to go regardless.
Here are some photos taken that night:

with my pretty Mama Rosebud

with my Brothers

with groovy Mama

with KUERDAS Band Major

with siblings again

He ain't heavy, he's my brother

YUMMY!

Food, Glorious Food!!!

I'm full

About to go home
It was a night of fine cuisine at Grab A Grab where we gratified our appetites.
The place has become the favorite of many including my blogger friends:

Star's Birthday Celebration

Bloggers Night-out
Photos grabbed from Tammy
Now after having full meals for two straight nights at Grab A Crab, trimming down my weight is now an uphill battle.
Sigh!
But the good news is, all four of us have agreed to be more health conscious and engage ourselves in some physical activities every Saturday like briskwalking or biking. I might have to resort to taking diet pills in the event that I fail to slim.
I wish you blue skies and all things nice,

Thank You!
Posted by: | CommentsWindmill had once written that THANK YOU is the most underrated word. It may hold true for some.

… AND Windmill on the Hill for publishing a special post at his blog entitled “LAINY IS VERY ILL” primarily wishing for my speedy recovery. He actually did that and MORE!
I am still NOT 100% OK. I could not even give you a detailed account as of yet of what actually happened to me. I am still slowly trying in regaining my energy and zest back. I don’t want to stress myself so much.
Blogging hours is in moderation.
After my recuperation process, I promise to rejoin you all and make up for all the days I’ve missed at my keyboard! :-)
I wish you blue skies and all things nice,

Blogger of the Year: Windmill on the Hill
Posted by: | CommentsIf there is one blogger who definitely deserves the Blogger of the Year Award, it’s no other than Windmill of Windmill on the Hill. He was the first recipient of the said award courtesy of Wordpress when it launched e-Zine.

I fondly call him Windy and he has been a very good blogging pal since I started out my blogging journey. He is one of the bloggers I admire and look up to for his writing prowess, intellect, fluidity of thoughts, sensible blog content and strong conviction.
He undoubtedly got a brilliant mind. He is such an inspiration and he is one of the bloggers who motivates me to improve and be the best blogger I can be.
Some people gets wary visiting his blog for his sharp tongue, hahaha
! But mind you! His humor could never be underrated.
One of the best posts that he got that is obviously my favorite is the published article entitled A Blogger’s Short Tale. This one is definitely worth the read!
Below are but only a few of his many lovely and striking posts where he often hits the nail right on the head! These posts are absolutely a MUST read for ALL bloggers:
- “I Don’t Participate in Blog A
wards”- You really ought to READ this one, and I say READ fellas, especially if you’re one of those who don’t participate in blog awards… - Linguistics- Blogger’s lingua franca
- The Poet Pretenders- A vivid description of what a poet pretender is and some tips on how a real poem should be written.
- Some People… Some People- It talks about two people who can’t handle things: winning and losing- which of these two is more damning???
- The Most Underrated Words- Why is it hard for people to say THANK YOU?
Way to go, Windy! I am so proud of you!!!
I wish you blue skies and all things nice,

God Bless! I am Back!
