Oh! How I would be thrilled if Now and Forever is performed by Air Supply at the Air Supply Concert in GenSan on October 2, 2009. We have all been there – in love; and soon it shall be for those who have not been there – Now and Forever , the lyrics of this Song comes alive and seemingly jumps out from its music sheet, transforming itself into an animated finger that points at me.

I was born into a typical Filipino family and nurtured by my parents to live a life of decent morality. As it is with my generation, we went to School and we strove to fend for ourselves and struggled for survival. Life assumes a different dimension when we face certain realities, stark realities if I might add.

I remember my mother having said this several times to me: that it is better to have been loved than never loved at all. She must have known a lot to have said that. Was she fearing that I was too timid? Maybe so.

I always relied on the strength of my brothers and my father and that was good enough for me as I grew up. There were times when other boys were of age and they were attracted to develop a courtship. These weren’t that many, just a few who could get past the ever watchful eyes of my father.

We try hard to hold it all

But it slips through

But drying the tears

It was not until I found an interest in cyberspace that I was faced with the biggest decision of my life. It is not something that I ever envisioned. More so, it almost took on a façade of surrealism.

Yes, I met My Prince though not under the circumstances that most girls would imagine. If it is true that the human senses are an essential part of a relationship, both he and I were about to enter into a journey that would test the very foundation of the human senses. It was to become Our Journey To Forever despite the wide expanse that geographically divides our homelands.

Two years and eight months have now passed for our “togetherness”. It has been a journey that only the depths and infinity of internet would understand. It is as real as “NOW” and we cling to every belief of “FOREVER” because both of us know that our LOVE simply means NOW AND FOREVER.

Learning each day

That the right time was so far away

To tell you the things I knew

Now it’s clear

That the moment

And counting the years
