Post co-Author: Windy

There be truth in this philosophical verse,
A house is made with walls and beams.
A home is made with love and dreams.
then the first line would mean it is fait accompli for Heavenly Home – finally.
Apart from the fact that it rests with the widow and her three children to transform their house into a home, in some measure, our love and our dreams to allow this homeless foursome to have a humble shelter of their own, that also begets a home.
The House roof comes into being
It has been several weeks since I last published on the progress of Project Heavenly Home. The last update was in this article, “Heavenly Home’s Crowning Glory“.
The task to complete the house roof took on an urgency owing to the onset of the wet rainy season. In this instance, the idiom that “time and tide wait for no man” bore significance to expediency.
The roof is now nearing completion and it will beat the rainy season. The wet season would make work high above the ground difficult and risky for the builders. Besides, it could even damage the bare wood beams that were already in place and awaiting for the roof sheets.
Here are a few images that were taken of the roof job still in progress.
1. The image below is the roof that is above the house facade.
2. Due to the small size of the house, 22 feet (6.7056m) wide by 35 feet (10.668m) length and the oppressive Tropical heat, I added anti-heat roof insulation material to make living condition more tolerable.
3. Notice the placement of the insulation (white) material beneath the roof sheets. The insulation blocks off about 80 percent of heat during the day.
I Saved The Best For Last.
I believe this will gladden the majority who are Donors from the Philippines.
The widow is a Filipina. Her three sons are of Filipino parentage. The family lost their father from a tragic fatal fall while he was at work.
My ending report on Heavenly Home
This is my final account for Project Heavenly Home. What remains to make the house complete is the construction of the floor, the ceiling boards, doors and windows and the essential fittings for the bathroom and kitchen – all of which will be accomplished in good time, I hope.
Donations received to-date
A total of U.S Dollars 288.00 (Two Hundred and Eighty-eight) has been received from Donors. This entire amount went towards supporting purchase for the roof material.
Once again, I wish to thank the Heavenly Home Donors for their gracious assistance and having joined me in this act of charity.

Hi Recel,
Indeed, the angels in heaven heard my pleas to delay the rainy season. LOL.
And then there were angels on earth, such as you, who so generously helped the family too.
Yes, the family is Filipino.
Thank you once again.
