Today, our Muslim brothers and sisters worldwide celebrates the Islamic New Year called Amon Jadid. For them, the New Year is welcomed with prayers peacefully and quietly.
On the other hand, the Christian world considers this time of the year as the most festive where lots of people around the globe feels the thrill of the Christmas celebration and the approaching New Year. In a world full of wickedness and treachery, it’s still amazing how God’s wonderful miracles work in each and everyone’s heart.
This is the perfect season for us to reflect on our misgivings. Repentance comes from acceptance and the desire to give, forgive and forget. A lot of people may want to harm us and to do their worst to us but let us try not to harbor any grudge in our hearts.
Like what is written in Matthew 5:54:
“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you “.
Let this season be the perfect time for us to give, forgive and forget

You are very correct Lainy. If we are to walk the talk as Christians then we must forgive and also love our enemies. I have many wonderful Muslim friends and I harbor no ill will against those that do wish to harm me….the Jihardist….(sp?).
The Bible makes it clear what and how the end will come and we are all responsible in some way or another….Christian, Jew, Muslim, Buddhists, etc…
I don’t understand why the world is in the mess it is in. But, the world is God’s creation and I believe firmly that all things happen for a reason. It is not for us to know and understand everything. How in the world could ever even begin to grasp God’s plans?
I just go along as best I can. I fail a lot but I ask for forgiveness and just keep going!!
Wonderful share today!
Hugs,
Jackie

@The Painted Veil,
Hi Sweetie! Just like Windy, you speak with so much wisdom. You always have that gentleness and I can’t help but be awed each time.
No matter how evil the world is, God bestowed in us enough qualities to decipher and share the goodness in our hearts. We don’t know what’s in store for us tomorrow but since my life was on the line once, I’ve always been inspired by what was written in Jeremiah:
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. The plans to prosper you and not to harm you. The plans to give you hope and future.”
Thanks for never failing in sharing your thoughts, Sweetie!
Hugs back to you

@dhemz,
Hi Dhemz. Yeah, I’ve heard so many great things about you and topping the list is your being generous
Thanks for being real honest. Some people finds it hard to forget. I believe it depends on the degree by which a person feels aggrieved.
Merry New Year!
