In my previous post entitled
Food Tastes Better When It’s Free, I have mentioned that like me, my Boss is also a blogger. He was one of the few whom I have influenced to blog. Though he hasn’t been actively blogging because of his rather busy schedule, he would oftentimes ask me for his Log In details at WordPress, LOL!
Thanks to my brilliant blogpal
Windy for making it possible for the Boss to have his own uniquely designed blog at
Bottom Lines as well as the free access to his webhost. Please take note that
Bottom Lines was born even before Boy Abunda’s show Bottomlines was aired over at ABS-CBN.
Yes, folks! You heard me right! Windy did it all for F R E E! Windy himself regularly renews Bottom Line’s domain. He must be feeling disappointed that it now lies dormant
The Boss had actually written quite a few popular articles that got crawled at the SERPS.
This post is for not without reason. I would simply love to congratulate the Lawyer/ Blogger Boss for having been promoted by one notch in government service. Though this may come a bit late, please allow me to honor him through this blog.
Three months ago, he finally got promoted. He coveted the second highest position in the Region. We were happy for him and I believe the promotion was something that he truly deserves.
He threw out a Beach Thanksgiving Party. It was an occasion that he deemed necessary to celebrate primarily to give thanks to all who were with him all through out his journey and also to give back all the glory to our Lord God Almighty.
There was no formal program that was prepared but the Boss tasked yours truly and
Star to prepare some parlor games and give-aways. On most occasions, he would task me to lead the invocation but I have always been unprepared, haha! But this time around, though there was not any program at all that was prepared for the occasion, I just knew that he would give me the same task, so I prepared beforehand, hahaha! Clever girl!
The prayer goes like this:
Almighty Father,
We thank you for this beautiful opportunity that we are gathered here on this happy occasion to mark the career achievement of our beloved Boss.
We have shared the challenges he faced while leading all of us at work and we know that we have been blessed and fortunate to have his dedication and wisdom as our leader through the years.
He has also been a mentor to us both at work and even with our personal issues with kindness.
It is therefore not a surprise that our beloved Boss has won the recognition from his Superiors to go further and be of greater benefit for the Commission.
We give back all the glory to you, Dear Father. All these wouldn’t have been possible without your unfailing love and grace. We ask for your divine presence tonight as we celebrate his success.
We also ask that the foods we are about to partake may give nourishment to our physical bodies so we may be able to continue to glorify your holy name.
All this we ask in Jesus name.
AMEN
It was a night that’s filled with fun and excitement as the games prepared were participated by all. And of course, it was also a night of photoshoot!

This banner was the reason why Star & I came late to the venue. It's supposed to be a surprise but the Boss kept calling & asking where we were & I can't help but say we had a tarp made for him, LOL!

That's yours truly & Star looking obviously tired and sleepy but still managed to smile for the cam... minus the Vee sign, hahahaha!

It has been a while since I last voted. I didn’t exercise my right to vote when I left Philippines. And maybe I will not be able to until the next election

@Hazelicious,
Hmmm! You must have been deactivated from the Book of Voters now, Haze. There’s actually absentee voting for Filipinos abroad. Haven’t you registered from there?

You said it, Lynn. Then in the end, it’s the government’s fault if they could not be accommodated. Sigh!
