It’s been more than 12 hours since a reported software bug caused a serious error to Entrecad’s system. I thought it was just some glitch in my PC but I was able to confirm the problem when I arrived at work today. There must have been some technical issues being experienced in the EC system thus destabilizing our daily dropping routine.
There was no prior notice to its members, no word whatsoever, no nothing. As usual, the EC members are left in the dark.
As of this writing, I can now access my Dashboard. But unfortunately, when I tried to return the drops made across my blogs- 144/ 300 drops, I noticed that it wasn’t being reflected. The number of drops were added to my EC credits though.
However, I can not expect that my drops will be reciprocated until the technical issues are fixed in the EC system. That would only mean lost traffic for those of us who mainly rely on EntreCard for quick visits and thus traffic. I hope the software bug will get fixed in no time (keeping my fingers crossed).
I am grateful though that apart from EntreCard, Lainy’s Musings got the opportunity to have some more exposure for being featured as the Blog of the Week (last week) at Steve’s blog, 
bethere2day Online Randomness.
When I saw my blog being featured right on top of his left side bar, I got a little surprised. I’ve asked him what have I done to deserve such recognition?

As for the problem with EC, I believe since their system is making tons of cash (any high traffic generation system does), they should be in a good position, good enough, to have emergency tech staff ready to act promptly at any time. So sad.

EC Credits are the points you earn by dropping cards on other blogs. In the past you earn it when you drop and when other blogs return the favor. But now you need to work hard at it by dropping cards thereby accumulating your credits which you can opt to use for advertising at blogs.

Hi lainy, yeah the entrecard issues started yesterday then now it’s not even totally fixed. We can drop and that’s it. Hope it gets back to normal soon.
