My Princes’ visit to the Philippines for the first time was a milestone. Coming from a country with four seasons to boost, it was a given fact that it will be a little difficult for him to adjust to a tropical country like the Philippines.
He was forewarned alright with a lot of stuffs. Being culture shocked was a mild thing though as he was already well-oriented being surrounded by Filipino friends back home. One of the things that got my family worried though was the amenities at home which is very shabby especially our bathroom. Coming from a progressive country, the Prince is used to bathrooms with hot shower system. There was no problem when we stayed at the hotel for a few nights. The bathroom at the hotel in Manila was very nice. It was only a 3-star hotel but the amenities and services was 7-star! I would highly recommend it to friends.
Nightmare for my Prince began when we arrived in my hometown. Shabby as it is, our bathroom is very simple and yes! He has to make do with using the bucket with hot water in it as our shower isn’t provided with hot water system. He was able to survive six agonizing days using the bucket though, hehe!
Fortunately, when we visited my Aunt’s house at Davao City, their home was a little modern and yeah! Bathroom was provided with hot shower, too. So you see! Bathroom being part of home sweet home is very important to one’s own comfort.
