How Do You Esteem Your Blog?

Emphatically described by an authoritative Organization on Blogs, it said,

(Blogs) are voices that are not ordinarily heard in international mainstream media. It is the global conversation online – shining light on places and people other media often ignore.

Now isn’t that description encouraging? It distinguishes us bloggers, you and I, as being the citizen media from around the world.

Okay, let’s not make comparisons about “some” who are getting into all sorts of things unworthy of being Bloggers.

Are Blogs just a fad? We’ve seen fads before but will Blogs follow the same path as other fads of years gone by? Will it be overcome and replaced by some other advancement in technology – like the ability to hologram our self to another place and do things? Gosh! that would be simply out-of-sight! Oooh! my imagination runs wild. Think of the possibilities hologram technology would present to us!

“Some bloggers have a readership that rivals columnists at major metropolitan newspapers,” said David Sifry, founder and chief executive of Technorati, a Web site that monitors content on more than 3 million blogs.

Radio talk show host and author. Hugh Hewitt who operates from hughhewitt.com said,

I’m more and more convinced that just as e-mail reinvigorated the art of letter writing, blogging will reinvigorate civic discourse.

You said it. my friend. For as long as freedom of speech at the blogs is exercised, I will stick around for a while longer as well.

I am having a great week, my friend. I hope you are having one, too.

God bless you and your family!

I think blogging will be around a good long while, even if other techy things come about. As it is, people can blog from their home, they now can blog via laptops in cafe’s that provide free access, and now telephones–cell phone’s. IM ing, was a fad and isn’t around as much; but then to me that’s what twitter is or could be; though you don’t really see people having conversation on twitter like that did with IM ing. Chat comes and goes, face book used to be more communication then it currently is. Seems all people do is play games and you see all that garbage on your wall. So blogging to me allows for real dialogue. Not for those who have their comments closed, or those you have to sub to leave a comment. Hate those and refuse to read them. Blogging is interactive otherwise it’s just someone spewing words on a page. Blogging is better than newspapers and magazines, again you read; but can’t interact. Personally, I LOVE blogging. I dislike those who want you read and comment, but never come visiting themselves. I try to avoid those too.

Blogging will be around a good long while I think. And it beats the heck out of boring tv shows. Much more entertaining to my way of thinking.

You FINALLY got your package! WOW…I had really given up and hadn’t gone forward with another contest because of it. I was sooooooooo frustrated. Thrilled you finally got it, and hope it works out for you on your upcoming trip.

    How, why…what happened with it?

Thanks for singing out to let me know

Blogging has evolved much since it was implemented on the internet. While many journalism outlets have discredited blogs and/or bloggers, we are at least recognized more than before.

Obama has made references to blogs as do some sporting outlets that I follow. Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was once fined for his comments on his own blog about referees during an NBA game.

When I was on my cruise in NYC, the boat guest(who is a known actor and writer) strongly encouraged us to blog about the experience.

Not only does it give us a way to reach many people in the world at once, it has changed the journalism industry forever.

As both you and Bill have said, we blog in democracy which gives the right to post in our own ways.

Nice post as always my very dear friend!
