Since my hospital confinement in June of last year twice in a span of one week, I had that certain conviction to trim down. This is entirely for health reasons.
You see, I have gained five kilos and this means, my weight is no longer proportioned with my height. I have been struggling with my trimming down efforts. I even contemplated on taking up some diet pills. This is completely out of desperation.
But this time, I’ve got to be careful choosing the best one for me, and yes, the safest diet pills. I was shocked to see the news on TV last week that the pills I took some years ago contained some steroids that could be addictive. It is now currently banned in the Philippine market. It is a good thing that my Prince warned me that it might contain some substances that could have some ill-effects on my body. That’s when I stopped taking them.
Well, I just have to be cautious in the purchase this time. For now, I content myself with my brisk walking regimen and badminton sessions. The efforts are yet to be seen though. But if it’s of any consolation at all, my blood pressure begins to show some signs of normalcy.
Certainly, I believe in the old adage, NO PAIN, NO GAIN!
