After having witnessed a young woman being robbed off her precious gold chain, gold earrings and gold bracelets, in clear daylight, on a street downtown, it made me reconsider wearing any of my precious stuff whenever I go out from my home.
No one came to the poor woman’s aid; no one dared to. I understood later why that was the case. One never knows if the robber is working alone or he has someone else watching his back while he robs the victim.
I think it is much safer to wear costume jewelry as these are just as pretty or even more pretty than the real precious ones. Besides, losing them will not be a regrettable incident as this kind of jewelry is not comparably expensive.
