“Sarang Semut” A Medicinal Solution For Heart Ailments

No news is good news, so it’s said

It is now over three weeks since I was discharged from the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at the General Hospital.

I have been taking my medicines every day since and thus far I have not had a single recurrence of chest pains slightly to the left where my sternum is located.

The debate still rages about whether it is my previous GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) attacks that caused my chest pains. The GERD attacks would have caused my oesophageal nerve ends very close to my heart to hurt. Even though it is speculative that this could have caused my chest pains and possibly it is not a direct heart problem, the Heart Specialist would rather err on the side of caution and treat me as a regular heart problem patient. I was also checked and treated by the Gastro-intestinal Specialist who ruled out GERD but said it was most likely peptic ulcer/gastritis.

Oh well, whatever….

An alternative non-drug solution?

Word went far and wide about my heart health problem. I received a surprise phone call from Indonesia. Someone told someone who then told someone and that’s how my friend in Ternate, Indonesia got wind about my condition. He hastily advised me to take “Sarang Semut” to treat my heart ailment.

“Sarang” means nest. “Semut” means ant. Hence, Ant Nest.

Sarang Semut or Ant Nest

It is common knowledge over there in Ternate that the Ant Nest has the potency to cure heart ailments as well as several other diseases.

I have never heard about this in my entire life. Hurriedly I Google Searched for “ant nest solution for heart disease”; lo and behold! there were pages and pages about it.

It’s not exactly an Ant Nest. It’s a plant that does attract ants to live inside it, so I gathered from what I read about it. And the rest of it is all “greek” to me because I am neither a Botanist nor professionally read in Medicine.

What next?

My Indonesian friend in Ternate has gone into the jungle deep. He is accompanied by two other jungle tribe men to get the Ant Nest for me.

His wife will have it cut and prepared to be delivered to me by hand-carry. All I have to do is to boil water with the Ant Nest and drink the water.

Sounds so simple. I hope it will effectively cure the same way too.

Absolutely interesting and the research/medical attestations are authoritative. You could read this website for more information about the Ant Nest.

To quote its remedies:

…it has many uses to cure various diseases, ranging from mild, such as headaches side, rheumatism, nosebleeds, ulcers, gout and hemorrhoids to severe diseases such as tumors, cancer, liver, lung tuberculosis, kidney disorders, prostate, and coronary heart disease. In addition, these plants can enhance and accelerate the production of breast milk (breast milk) and restore the health of women after childbirth, increasing stamina and as an aphrodisiac (increases sexual desire) even say that the content of flavonoids may control the development of herpes virus and HIV-AIDS virus.

Oh Lainy – so sorry that you are most unwell. Might not be the best idea to self-medicate though. In case it is a type of reflux it might be an idea to strip back your diet. Try eating carbohydrates as separate meals from others. Porridge oats are good to start the day with as they give the tummy plenty to munch on.

Good luck and take plenty of rest!!

    @Polly,

Hi Polly! Like Bill and Julie, you also believed it was me ;-) Thanks for your concern but it was actually Windy who wrote the article. He recently had a heart attack and his friend from Indonesia was helping him get an alternative medicine for his heart ailment.

Your suggestion makes sense though, Polly. Thanks for letting me know about that.

    Hugs!

    Hello Lainy!

I hope that you will not be getting any attacks. That’s aweful.

I have been diagnosed with ischemia at the age of 15. Chest pains and difficulty breathing just suck.

Will be back in awhile. Hugs!

    Hi Maxi!

Windy is doing good so far. Like I’ve said up above in my reply to comments, Windy posted this one, hehe.

Oh! I am sorry about your ischemia. I am not too sure what that is but it must have been very awful for you to suffer at an early age.

    Hugs back to you!

    See yah!

I’ve heard about sarang semut, that it can produce a powerful jamu (potion/tonic). Though I never tried it or met someone who ever consumed it.
