Thank you for the additional input. I’m lucky I don’t get a lot of spams, hehe! It’s ok to lay down your comment policy. I must say it’s important to have clear-cut and detailed comment policy of sort. In the first place, it’s your blog and whatever policies they are, bloggers can either agree or disagree. But they have no choice, if they don;t agree, they can opt not to come back.
But the problem lies, as you’ve said, with the policy not being known because no one reads them.

Posting nasty and rude comments is a big NO! NO! If they do that, you have every right to delete their comments. It’s either they don’t like your post, they don’t like you as a person thus wants to malign you through your posts or they simply lack attention. But there is no excuse for rudeness. RESPECT is the key here to have a harmonious relationship between our co-bloggers. Though in reality, we are all friends and competitors at the same time, I believe it’s not impossible to create strong camaraderie and mutual bonds among us.
Answering your reader’s comments is one way to achieve and encourage harmonious relationship.

Yes Joy, interesting posts really attracts our attention and interest. That is why if we love to encourage commenters, we have to think of some interesting write ups as well. I’m no cyber geek nor a SEO expert but I am learning everyday. If we are ignorant on some topics or issues, it’s not bad to ask for enlightenment.
I couldn’t help but agree with you more. There are a lot of blogs that are not recognized but they have been around for a long time. These blogs are great ones and lots of them have moved me in so many instances. It’s because they write from the heart and their life’s experiences were shared to the world with the hope that we can learn from them as well. For me, I find these blogs really interesting and successful because they were able to touch other people’s lives.

Hmmm, I don’t recall having said I’ve received any spam comments. I don’t have a problem with that now. Maybe you’re referring the question to CYBERCELT, the first commenter.

I am having fun answering comments and I think we owe it to our commenters. I can not attend to them immediately though because of time constraints but I always try my best to post a reply.

I couldn’t help but agree with you! I love reading comments. If people don’t post a comment, it’s either (1) they don’t like your write-up because it isn’t interesting or it is of less importance to them, (2) they are mere LURKERS. I’ve read somewhere that 90% of bloggers are LURKERS. LURKERS are “reading messages on an Internet discussion forum without contributing”.

Hahaha! Makalingaw man ka Lermz, oi! With our membership with EC, I think we need to post comments in English because most of the Entrecarders are English speaking. Besides, English is an international language, so to be safe and for us not to be called RUDE for speaking language that we only can understand, it’s better for us to speak in English, sort of practice, hahaha!
As for those commenters not going back at your page, I’m not guilty hehe! I always come back at that particular post because I would love to know the author’s reply. Never say your entries are NOT relevant. Personal diary categories I find more interesting and I am learning a lot from other people’s experiences.

Yes, I agree that SezWho can do more wonders for our blog and will also give more reasons for us to stay. I still need to learn more about it, still groping but I hope in time, I will learn the “ins” and “outs” of Sezwho.
Yeah, it’s like rudeness begets rudeness. If you sound rude in your posts, don’t expect commenters will be nice with you. Indeed, nastiness is uncalled for. Let’s try to be always nice and friendly, smile!
