It is considered taboo especially in Filipino culture when a young girl involves herself with a married man. Most young Filipinas were disowned by their respective families because there is a lot of disgrace attached when a girl falls in love with a married man.
There were a lot of girls who fought for what they felt and bargained their principles. And yes, they have traded their families and friends as well. Emotionally, the girls are the ones that are adversely affected by the entire situation. Friends will begin to turn away and families will shun her. The guy’s family will absolutely hate her for ruining their lives.
Now, I have to ask, is it all worth it?
Let’s admit it. Getting one’s self entangled with a family man entails home wrecking and is considered to be adultery and even a sin. This will eventually give both parties the guilt feelings.
Admittedly, some girls always seek first for a father figure. Married men easily fits that. It’s a psychological thing for girls. Then when the “father” figure pokes around, the girl awakens to find out that she has a stellar product and the “father” figure role is diminished. And then romance sets in. The girl will then try to outdo the married man’s wife.
And she starts to sing:
“ANYTHING SHE CAN DO, I CAN DO BETTER!”
The excitement takes a hard knock when she realizes she should not be vomitting every morning after she wakes up. Then the blame-game begins. The hide and seek also begins.
She will start to cry and say:
“HE DID IT TO ME. HE SAID HE WANTED TO CHECK IF MY LOVE IS TRUE. BUT HE DID MORE THAN CHECK. HE CHECKED IN!”
Let me give you a common scenario when the pregnant girl comes home.
In arrives Big Brother….. WHO IS THAT MAN? GIVE ME HIS NAME? WHERE DOES HE LIVE? TELL ME NOW.
Preggy girl: WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO TO HIM?
Big Brother: WE ARE GOING TO FRY HIS SAUSAGE TONIGHT FOR FAMILY DINNER!
Preggy girl: OH! HINDIIIII! HINDIIIIII! I STILL LOVE HIM. I WANT HIM TO CHECK IN HIS SAUSAGE ONLY WITH ME. NOT OUR FAMILY!
Weeping mama: OK SON, WE COULD HAVE HIS EGGS POACHED TOMORROW MORNING FOR BREAKFAST.
Distraught father: LEAVE THAT MAN ALONE. HE’S DOING EXACTLY WHAT I DID TO YOUR MOTHER.
All the family members: STARE AT PAPA AND MAMA…
Three months later…
EVERYONE IN THE FAMILY IS CHECKING PREGGY GIRL’S TUMMY AND PRAISING. IS IT A BOY? A GIRL? A BIRD? ….. NO. IT’S GONNA BE SUPERMANNNN! 
:D
THEN BABY IS BORN…
And the family goes into a tizz, finding a name for the lad.
Mama says: How about Eric?
Papa says: NO! Must be after my name, Brutus.
Eldest son says: BRUTUS? That’s a dog’s name. No. No.
New unwed mother says: How about Erectile?
Erectile harbors well for the baby’s future. He will stand strong and tall above his male counterparts.
25 years later…… There he goes…. Erectile true to his name, prodding and probing and poking just like his father did.
And the story never ends… It goes on and on and on!

Kidding aside folks, below are a few tangible reasons why some girls prefer married men than certified bachelors:
- Married men give any woman the best exit reason if the woman changes her mind
- Married men are more financially stable.
- Married men are more vulnerable.
- Married men know more about sex than unmarried men.
- Married men can know how women behave better than unmarried men.
- Most married men won’t want to have children
LOL!!!!! Now that’s some funny stuff, Lainy! Talk about being branded for life with the name Erectile, that would be it. Imagining the passing of down of names to generations to cum…errr…come: Erectile Jr, Erectile III, etc. LOL!
Those are definitely the reasons why girls would fall in love with married men. I definitely agree with No. 2 on the list.

I am sure there are still a helluva lot of reasons why a girl falls in love with a married man. The 6 reasons I have enumerated above are only the commonly known reasons.

Is it worth it? NO, let me rephrase that Hell NO. It wasn’t all that long ago that girls were also treated that way in the States when they slept with married me. I think it’s really too bad in any culture that it’s now considered ok. It’s not. It is a sin, it is wrong, it is immoral.

I have to agree with you, Sandy. Majority of people especially in the First World countries have now embraced this drastic change in our society. But there are still a lot of people who can’t completely turn away from the norms, on what is right and moral.

I know what you mean. I can not speak on behalf of those girls who got involved with married men but based only on what I know, yes, a good number of married men have their own mistresses.

What’s immoral and sinful before is still true now. Only that like you’ve said, many have adapted to such immorality. But this I wanna tell you, my college friend got involved in this kind of scenario. We all hated the man, and all my other friends left “C”- that friend of ours, except me. I was with her all the way, until now, and I so love the daughter born out of that circumstance. My hubby asked me to never leave C during her most troubled times and we were the only people left to care for her and be with her when she gave birth. I was with her at the hospital and even did the very first diaper change of her own baby because she doesn’t know how. It was a very frustrating thing on my part when I was still advising her to stop the affair but because your number 2 and number 4 reasons are true in the the most sense, there, she was unstoppable. Anyhow, she’s fine now, has completely recovered, and raising her daughter the greatest way she knows how.
As for the number 4 reason, I don’t want to leave without saying what I think about it. LOL. Well, if married men know more about sex than unmarried men, wouldn’t it be wonderful if both unmarried couple do the adventure and experiment together during marriage? He he he…
