During the celebration of the Tuna Festival here in the City more than a week ago, my family and I went out for dinner. Since I no longer live with my family, we only agreed what time and the place for the family’s rendezvous. Please note that my Mama Dearie at this time still hasn’t visited me yet.
We agreed to eat at a hotel’s restaurant. I was especially craving for the Filipino cuisines, kare- kare and pinakbet. It took me a while to arrive at the hotel because the Float Parade was on going and most of the main roads in the city were closed and motorvehicles had no choice but to reroute. If I hadn’t changed from one clothes to another, I could have been on time. But I took my sweet time meticulously looking for the clothes that I want to wear for that night.
I could have worn this but found myself sweating a lot infront of the cam, LOL!
I had to master the art of taking self-portraits now that I live on my own, hehe!
I have to say that I felt good with my last choice. I am sorry to toot my own horn, but I just felt beautiful, LOL!
I finally settled for the blue stripes top as inner with denim sleeveless cardigan paired with mini-skirts

When I reached the hotel’s restaurant, I almost retreated. I saw that my Mom and I had the same style of top!

Geez!
I felt like we’re going to be fired or something, hahaha! Some peepz obviously noticed us and must have been thinking “where’s the show”? LOL!
When I was still living at home and if we would go out for fine dining or just simply watch the 
Kuerdas’ shows, I’d rather not share the same color or style with my Mom. It’s either she’d change or I opt to choose another type of clothes. My mom and I don’t share the same size and NEVER have we shared any type of clothing except for some sets of jewelries 
My mom has always been groovy and she loves to dress up. More often than not, she’s dressing up like me. Honestly, I am not too sure how I would feel about it. I find it an interesting thought to ponder though. It makes me feel proud that at her age, she got the taste. But on one hand, I don’t like the idea of her dressing up like my age, LOL!
I had a better understanding why most Moms nowadays dress up like their daughters when I came across an article at New York Times’ Fashion & Style. It was said that fashion industry observers say many ordinary mothers are following their daughters’ style lead these days. Whatever the reason, the trend seems particular to today’s mothers, historically speaking. “The lines are all blurred today,” Ms. Arbuckle said. “It’s not about, ‘You’re this age, and this is what you do.’ ”
Well, we had to just laugh it off that night. We indulged in gastronomic delight in the hotel’s restaurant. I simply loved all they had ordered. My craving for kare- kare was satisfied!
Kare- Kare (Filipino oxtail and vegetable stew)
Lechon Kawali (Crispy Pan-Fried Roasted Pork)
Sinuglaw (Surf and Turf Kinilaw)
Fish Fillet
My beverage choice: Mango shake
It was the first time that we had dinner together as a family (too bad there’s no family portrait) after I left my Mom’s abode and lived on my own. It was fun and it feels good to be bonding with my family again.

It looks like you were too shy to take photo os yourself lainy, but it came out good though, binawi sa red lips hehehe. Ka bata pa sa imung mama Lainy no. how old is you mom? Like mom like daughteh hehe.
