To be a lawyer is what I have always dreamed of becoming. In fact I took Political Science as my undergraduate degree. Due to some inevitable circumstances, I did not enroll in the Law School but instead took some units in the Graduate School (Masters in Public Administration major in Organization and Management). I have yet to finish the degree. I only have to hurdle my Research subject and Thesis Writing.
I was again sidetracked when I decided to enroll in Medical Transcription as a short-term course. As you can see, I wasn’t able to practice what I have learned.
My priorities changed when I had a boyfriend in 2007. Instead of pursuing my graduate school degree and fulfilling my dream of becoming a lawyer, I contented myself with what I have now. I believe that I have attained quite enough for myself and it won’t make me less of a better person when I don’t pursue my desires. My priorities have indeed changed.
Nevertheless, I am still in awe when I see lawyers, specifically Mesothelioma lawyers doing magnificent jobs in the court room. Somehow, seeing these people fighting for truth and justice gives me a sense of fulfillment.
