Would You Let Your Child Smoke?

By now this is probably not shocking news. It is for me. Here is a true but sad story of a two year old infant who is addicted to smoking two packs of cigarettes a day.

What is even worse is that his father is nonchalant about his son’s addiction. His mother excuses it by saying that

“If he doesn’t get cigarettes, he gets angry and screams and batters his head against the wall. He tells me he feels dizzy and sick.”
This is happening in Sumatra, Indonesia for Ardi Rizal.

If unchecked and not detoxified, what kind of health and future lies ahead for this enfant terrible and why does the Health and Child Abuse Authority do something to save him from his mindless parents?

It is really, really sad what irresponsible parenthood is capable of doing to their own flesh and blood.

WTF! This can’t be true. It’s got to be doctored somehow, and these idiots are using it as some youtube publicity stunt.

If it is true, the Indonesian CPS should yank him out of his parents grasp, detox him and let Madonna adopt him.

I couldn’t even get my kids to use a pacifier(thank God)!

Not sure if this story is true. If it is then it comes under the label of child abuse. In Britain a child would be removed from the parents in such instances. The child would be taken into care and the parents would be up before the courts.

There is still much that is not known about the degree of harmful chemicals and the long term damage they inflict on the human circulatory system, the brain, lungs, liver, etc that inhaling cigarette smoke can lead to. The ones we most hear about are the large varieties of cancers. The devestating asthmas, bronchitis and other breathing related ailments are often presented by relatives and the children of smokers.

Thankfully it is now illegal to smoke in public places and is discouraged in front of children.

I really do hope that your story has a happy outcome for such a young infant! .-= Polly´s last blog ..Mouser =-.
