A blogger who’s into blog monetization knows that additional income made through blogging has helped bloggers who have ventured into this endeavor. I am no hypocrite to say that I’m not loving the earnings I’ve got from writing paid reviews. In the first place, paid blogging was the reason why I was motivated to blog seriously but without forgetting my aim for self-expression.
Apart from that passion, 
I am here to stay because I also feel that I will be losing some money if I stopped blogging altogether. That’s stating it point blank.
Since I began blogging in 2007, I have joined and earned at quite a number of blogging affiliates, to wit:

- Social Spark= $278.28
- Payu2blog= $1, 364. 50
- Sponsored Reviews= $ 160.55
- Buyblog Reviews= $45.00
- ReviewMe= $171. 00
- Paying Post (I wasn’t paid for the one opportunity I made for them, grrrrr!)
I earned a total of USD 2,438.70. I know it isn’t much when compared to what some others have been earning. I think it is not too bad for a person like me who works on a 8-5 basis. I can only do my blogging chores part time at home. I prefer to be in front of my PC rather than anywhere else. My time spent online is very limited because of my daytime job. This forces me to wake up as early as possible whenever there are some deadlines to beat.
Paid blogging is indeed a good way to augment one’s income. I know of some people whose career is blogging. Many of the stay-at-home-moms I know have made quite a good amount of money from blogging.
Undoubtedly, paid blogging has become the chosen career path for many bloggers. Inarguably, the present worldwide recession is felt by every household and their exacerbated need for finance has put paid to their passion for blogging. Instead of it being a means for self-expression, their need for monetary rewards through blogging has eroded their blog content and quality.

I have honestly giving this some thought. But, decided it would deter me from following through with my photography courses and going commercial with that.

Wow! Kudos to you sis for that great money made out of your blogging line. That is big enough for just a sideline. I wish I can work full time soon so I won’t be too dependent on my blogging earnings. Nevertheless, my 2 years of paid blogging journey have been an awesome one. I earned a lot, bought a lot of stuff, and did a lot of things because of it. But now, I am sooooo ready to leave paid blogging behind and concentrate on schooling. I still will be blogging though, if time permits.

Wow, that’s a lot of money you’ve earned, Lainy. I’ve done this kind of posting, and it has helped in a big way. At least there is more of an opportunity to make money in tough economic days compared to before the internet age.

I suppose you’re talking about Triple P. You really have to chase assignments in that site. I am not up to it because as I’ve said my time is very limited. I don’t know how today.com works but I’ve noticed most of the blogs who signed up there are now gone, too.

I used to withdraw the money monthly before so there’s not much left now. But I’ve learned a lesson. I have to save some money from blogging. That’s what I am so determined in doing now.
