Neither do i see where you are right. You label him as he is thinking from inside a box. That is a mouthful. What exactly is that “box”?

I know Windy as one of the most forward thinking Bloggers that I have ever met. In fact, it’s the other way around. Most of his thoughts are very much avant garde and that is essentially his blogging quality.

You describe people and what they say in just a few words, often buzz words if I were to put it in that light.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Let me just say that you cannot change a fixed definition, otherwise this augurs chaos.

If you mean that bloggers do blog with the tide, these bloggers are those who are just following blindly. They feel safe to be with the majority.

How would you feel if your name Pastilan changed with time? The whole of the Philippines would end up not knowing where to find you. So too if Blogs keep changing their meaning from what it is defined as.

I agree with Bingkee that “bloggers have different purposes why they blog and they might change their aims as their lives’ priorities changed too,” that is why I think that we cannot really tell if a blog is a whale or not because the “whaleness” of a blog depends on how we define the word BLOG. The meaning of the word BLOG changes with time, it does not remain the same. If we stick with the original meaning of the word “Blog” blogging would be very boring. I could not agree with Windy.

Thanks for bringing this post to my attention, Lainy. I really never give that much thought and maybe that has to do with the fact I don’t post like anyone else. I write paid posts, but I’m also strict on detail mainly because I’m naturally a competitive person that wants to put out good entries every time out.

As far as Windy goes, it’s not so much what he says but how he says it. I’m sure if you line up 100 topics in front of us, you’ll have a lot we’re sure to disagree on. Some of the ones in that contest of yours are likely friends of mine as well, and all he did in my book was give constructive criticism where he felt it was needed. Apparently, some didn’t understand the intent, and it wasn’t to divide friendships at all.

But when talking about the contest you took part in, he was relentlessly trying to defend a friend that he thought was being treated unjust in that event. In a sense, it wasn’t so much for me that he defended you(which I did say my peace on that same entry), but that he protected others from having this happen to them. One doesn’t have to look far on his entries to see the purpose of his blog.

Lainy, I very much appreciate you being my friend, and you are indeed a queen when it comes to the blogging community. You do your share and you lead which is why you’re so admired which I’m proud to be one of them. Good post my wonderful friend!

I never thought about this because my experience is different. But their motives are inevitable most oftentimes. There are so many things in life that needs more attention than blogging unless blogging is your life.
Bloggers have different purposes why they blog and they might change their aims as their lives’ priorities changed too or even circumstances can affect their purposes. But we cannot blame them. It’s the way it is. For me as long as they are practicing blog “ethics”, they are fine.
