Religious “21 Gun” Salute for President Arroyo

What a howler! I could not help laughing so loud and so much when I read about 21 priests say Mass for President’s birthday

Say, say, say….

1. A birthday Mass con-celebrated by Archbishop Paciano Aniceto and 20 priests.

2. She arrived at the church promptly at 8 a.m.

3. She took nearly 10 minutes to negotiate the aisle.

4. After the Mass, Ms Arroyo stayed away from the media and sat down to a closed-door breakfast with her allies.

5. She wished that the country would reach First World status in 20 years.

I am tempted to but nevermind, I’d rather not comment on all those five points let alone what was reported following that.

Gosh! How much lower will the Catholic Church in the Philippines have to stoop?

I really am having sarcastic smiles right now at all the points, esp. at the number five! I dare her! But heck, she’s just plain words!

Yes Recel, I most certainly know what you think.

I think Mdm. Arroyo meant achieving World Class status counting from the bottom of the list. Ha ha ha.

    Cheers!

    Hi bingkee,

It’s possible that the angels were weeping while 20 priests and 1 Archbishop concelebrated the Mass for President Arroyo.

Such a waste of ministerial resources just for one small woman when there’s so much for the Catholic Church to labour in their vineyard.

    Cheers!

I had wished them a happy anniversary and I will greet them again. Hey Lainy, all you need to do is to wait for the page to load fully–usually in 18 to 25 seconds (medyo mahina ang loading ng blog ko). Then you can hit the Post /Submit button. Otherwise, I don’t know, because all the other comments went through and you already had commented before…..so I dunno….but try again.

Sayang, if this was posted earlier I could have grabbed the code for my anniversary last month.
