My vacation saga does not end in having seen the beautiful places in Malaysia, in the Philippines and accompanied with wonderful friends. Apart from meeting the brilliant blogpal in the person of
Windy himself in Malaysia, I was also able to meet two more great blogpals when we returned to Manila.
HONEY
True to her name, she has been a sweet and nice blogging comrade since 2007 when at that time, she was still residing in Cebu. She is now in Manila for her college degree while waiting for her papers to be approved for her to reside in the U.S.
Honey is the personification of a true Filipina beauty. Cool, calm and collected. That’s what she projects herself in virtual mode but then, having met her in the flesh made it more resoundingly true.
Prior to my departure for vacation, both of us were very excited and looked forward to meeting up. All through the years she has been a very good virtual friend and she always provided me with encouragement and support in all my blogging endeavors.
Upon my return from my trip in Malaysia, we agreed to meet at the picnic that my friend Jackie organized for us. The rain did not prevent us from making our rendezvous. She was there at the La Mesa Eco Park ahead of us. Her Korean classmate and friend, Rhui Kim, accompanied her. We are just too glad we had the opportunity to meet him as well. It was a fun day to have finally met Honey who’s not only pretty and sexy. You bet she is a very special girl. She also has no hang-ups and that certainly makes her very easy to get along with.
We had a short chit-chat about just anything and everything that our minds could fill the time. She expressed how she would love to tag along with us in our next travel outside of the country. WOW! That made it even more exciting and gave us all the more reasons to prepare for our next trip, LOL!
REYAPOT
I came to know this intelligent person through my cousin whom I haven’t met for more or less a decade or so. While chatting with my cousin Kuya Sam, he mentioned to me that his friend was very interested in blogging.
It started from there and Yours truly who’s not so learned in the technicalities of blogging began to share some ideas with Reyapot on how to start a blog and to eventually monetize it.
I am aware that Reyapot is a busy lady. When I kept in touch with Kuya Sam the day prior to going back to GenSan, I didn’t expect she would take time out to meet me despite her hectic schedule. She even found time to give us a nice dinner treat along with my cousin
Ally, Kuya Sam and my brother’s gf. Sarah.
I really wished there was more time to be with these wonderful people. Seems like there were so much to talk about the years that we’ve known each other over the internet. Yet, there is also that feeling that speaking up is not at all necessary for we felt like we’ve known each other for such a very long time.
P.S.
Unfortunately, I failed to meet one of my pioneering friends and my blogging idol, Kuya Jessie of
What Have You. He was one of my blogpals who was about to meet me when I returned from Malaysia. He was all set to hit the road from Ilocos to Manila. Sadly, at early dawn on the day we agreed to meet, his brother died. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family, Kuya!
I also didn’t have the opportunity to talk things out with my cousin Ally. We merely had the time to walk and ride the bus to get to our destination. Perhaps another more opportune time for that.

Heartwarming and entertaining post, Lainybelle.
Reading it makes me recall Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet, about Friendship:
Your friend is your needs answered.
When your friend speaks his mind you fear
not the “nay” in your own mind,
nor do you withhold the “ay”.
For without words, in friendship, all thoughts,
all desires, all expectations are born and shared,
with joy that is unacclaimed.
When you part from your friend, you grieve not;
For that which you love most
in him may be clearer in his absence,
And let there be no purpose in friendship
save the deepening of the spirit.
And let your best be for your friend
that you should seek him with hours to kill?
Seek him always with hours to live.
For it is his to fill your need,
but not your emptiness.
And in the sweetness of friendship
let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures.
For in the dew of little things
the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.
